Why, I do not know, all I know it comes of the heals of their new throttling scheme (read “fuck you, customers”). Online games for me? Not as long as comcast is pulling this throttling bullshit, or not until I find an ISP proper.

It should be pointed out that I’m not the only one experiencing this sudden slow down for online games.

As luck would have it the have just what I need. While the person behind the counter she casually asks that dreaded question:

Would you like a one year extended warantee with that?

YES! Yes I would love to pay 50$ to insure a 15$ cable that will probably never go bad.

Some of these are better than others, some are useful, some just leave you wonder how it even got funding. As I see more and more of these descriptions and positions hit my inbox, they begin to hammer home a very important question:

Has it become more important to get rich quick than it is to provide a service that is trully innovative or in high demand?

Based on the bulk of the job descriptions I have received, yes, yes it is more important to get rich (quick), and that is a problem. While it is important to keep money in mind, it should be first priority to create and provide a service that people want (and want to use).
